All cadets must report on Saturday at the university for muster at 0830. TO: All Color Guard Teams are to report on Monday 28 May 12 at the Navy Memorial at 0900 MANDATORY! Cadets are welcome to participating the Ceremony. ALL Cadets are to report to the Navy Memorial at 1130 for the National Memorial Day Parade at 1130, we will walk over to the Parade site.

Join the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps and experience the Adventure and the Excitement. Enjoy the many activities the program has to offer and be part of a team. Take pride in being part of a great youth program. You can patrol both the sea and inland waterways aboard naval ships and small boats. Receive basic and advanced airman training. The U.S. Naval Seacadet Corps is a nationwide organization dedicated to helping American youth in a nautically oriented training program. Through Sea Cadet leadership, young Americans, ages 13 through 17, develop interests and skills in basic seamanship, patriotism, courage, self reliance, teamwork and accountability.
There is also a League Cadet Corps, which is part of this overall Nationwide Youth Development Program. This is for young people, ages 11 through 13 (with some "waivers" down to age 10) that also provides positive direction and structure in a "stay in school and stay away from drugs and gangs" environment.
Cadets train aboard U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships and shore activities, and are authorized by the Secretary of the Navy to wear Navy uniforms marked with U.S. Naval Sea Cadet insignia. Most Sea Cadet units are sponsored by the Councils of the Navy League of the United States, a nonprofit organization of U.S. citizens deeply committed to the welfare of young Americans.
Sea Cadets are exposed to a broad range of subjects designed to develop the "whole person" concept, and they have many opportunities to participate in hands-on training aboard Navy and Coast Guard ships and shore activities and training schools.
All newly enrolled cadets must first complete two weeks of summer recruit training at Navy and Coast Guard recruit training commands and selected locations throughout the country. The curriculum includes naval history, customs, traditions, seamanship and navigation.
Once cadets have completed this training, they may take full advantage of Naval Sea Cadet opportunities during succeeding summers. There are many different types of trainings to choose from, including advanced two-week training periods aboard Navy and Coast Guard vessels-from small harbor craft to large nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.
